Using cards
Barclaycard Business is Europe's largest charge card specialist whose cards are accepted at more than 24 million outlets worldwide and in the UK. Using a Corporate card means less paperwork to manage, as it eliminates the need to account for petty cash or company cheques.
Using cards can also encourage more positive relationships with your suppliers, with no need for them to credit check and it also improves their cash flow. Thanks to the Visa network, payments to suppliers are normally received within three to four working days.
Corporate cards are convenient and flexible for your company and cardholders too, as they can be used everywhere the VISA sign is displayed to pay for any kind of business expense from hotels, flights, office supplies to car rental and foreign currency.
However, sometimes cash is the only available option for making payment. So where this option has been requested for an individual cardholder by the Account Administrator, Corporate cards can also be used to withdraw cash from Banks displaying the VISA sign and VISA ATMs worldwide.
Using your Corporate Card in store
If you're in-store, simply present your card as you would any other charge or credit card.
Using your Corporate Card over the phone
If you're buying over the phone, use your card as you would any other charge or credit card. Remember to ensure that you take note of any order numbers quoted to you in respect of your order and payment, and also tie up the delivery note when it arrives with your own record of the transaction to make sure they match.
Using your Corporate Card over the internet
Using your Barclaycard Business Corporate Card over the internet is just as easy. Firstly, always check that the site is secure. When you are asked to input your card details, do so, along with additional identification as requested by the merchant. It is advisable to print off the details of online purchases to enable you to tie these up with the order upon its arrival, or to be able to contact the supplier should you need to do so. For your additional peace of mind don't forget you are also protected against fraud with our Online Guarantee.
