What you need

To integrate your chosen solution into your existing systems for online transaction processing, you will need:

  • A website store already set up
  • A secure payment solution set up to capture and process cardholder details, - either through:
    A Barclaycard Business Merchant Payment Interface (MPI)
    or
    An approved Payment Service Provider (PSP)

When we receive your application for ePDQ MPI...

  • Once we've processed your application, we'll send you a welcome letter that explains your next steps and provides a link where you can collect your documentation
  • We'll also email you to confirm your login details
  • For security reasons we will ask you to call us to collect your password
  • You are then ready to start integrating ePDQ into your system and carrying out full tests before going live
  • When you're ready to go live, you simply complete an account activation form and we make the switch
  • We'll send you a final confirmation email to let you know your store is ready to start accepting card payments

If you choose the MPI option, it is hosted by your system in order to capture cardholder information and convert it into an approved format. However, you still have responsibility for the security of card details. If you would prefer to pass this liability to us, you should consider adopting our simple end-to-end solution using our ePDQ Cardholder Payment Interface (CPI).

If you choose our Merchant Payment Interface option, we'll also provide an administration tool that lets you see and report on all your online transactions.

Whichever method you choose, we'll manage the whole process to make sure implementation takes place smoothly and seamlessly, so you can start profiting from card payments as soon as possible.

Standard application service

  • If you apply online, we'll contact you to confirm the information you've provided and talk through the product that's most suitable for your needs
  • We'll post you an Agreement which you need to review, sign and return to us
  • We'll process your application and write to let you know when it has been approved
  • We will also send you everything you need to know about accessing and setting up your card payment service, and how to manage your Barclaycard Business account
  • You're ready to start accepting card payments

This process typically takes 2 - 3 weeks.

The En@ble fast track application service

If you expect to turn over less than £300,000 per year, you can apply through the En@ble fast track route.

  • Click on Get a quotation or contact us by phone
  • If you apply online, we'll contact you to confirm the information you've provided and talk through the product that's most suitable for your needs
  • On the next working day we'll post you an Agreement, which you review, sign and return to us
  • As soon as we receive your signed Agreement we'll set up your account and give you the details so you can start trading remotely straight away
  • With this fast track service you could be up and running within a few days

For your information: Once we've accepted your application for a Barclaycard Business account, your settlement period will be 45 days after each transaction. This settlement period may be reduced, depending on your business's characteristics - we will let you know once we've processed your application.
